Livestock Hand/Allrounder

We are always on the look out for capable livestock hands/allrounders to join our close-knit team at Roma Feedlot & Spelling Yards.

We are looking for people who:

  • Have previous cattle handling experience
  • Horsemanship experience desired but not essential.
  • Must have a willingness to learn
  • Have strong communication skills and work ethic.
  • Are able to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Have a strong focus on animal welfare and workplace health and safety.

Tasks in this role include:

  • Pen riding/checking stock
  • Livestock movements
  • Drafting, processing, dispatching.
  • General feedlot tasks, trough cleaning, maintenance.
  • Opportunity to gain experience in data entry and record keeping using specialised feedlot programs.
